  • Elevate Your Jeans & Tees

I LOVE a good pair of jeans and a comfy tee. While everyone else is living the #coronalife in stretchy pants and leggings, I've been reaching for my jeans on the daily. BUT, even jeans and tees can get boring after non-stop wear. So, here's how I elevate my go-to look with easy add ons that I already have in my closet - and you probably do, too! Look 1 - Make it professional. This is such an easy way to cheat at dressing up. If you have to sit through another Zoom call, this is so going to come in handy. Throw on a blazer in your favorite color, roll up the sleeves if you want to make it sassy, pop on a statement necklace, and boom! You look effortlessly cool. If you go with a classic, black blazer, add colorful shoes. If your blazer is a fun hue, pick a shoe in a neutral tone. Look 2 - Add some ladylike details. A tweeted jacket, particularly one with ladylike details, softens up a rugged pair of dark denim jeans. Add a pair of statement earrings or a necklace to keep things fun. Look 3 - Add visual interest. Putting on a lightweight, springy scarf can have a lot of impact - particularly with a pair of rolled, boyfriend jeans and nude sandals (which will elongate your legs!). An outfit like this is SO easy - you throw on an accessory and call it good! Look 4 - Add sparkle and edge. I live for all things edgy, so this is one of my favorite jeans and tee looks. Distressed jeans and a sparkly blazer? Yes, please! Okay, so, maybe everyone doesn't have a sequined blazer in their closet. But I wanted to show you that jeans and tees don't have to be boring or without personality. Whatever your thing is (high heeled shoes, cocktail rings, envelope clutches), add it on to your look and see where it takes you! There's no wrong way to style this classic look. Play around with some things and see what works for you!

  • Unbox With Me! Amazon Personal Shopper Box // March 2020

I'm not gonna lie. This whole stay at home situation feels pretty bleak. It's compounded by the fact that life is not cooperating either. Life is definitely not taking a break due to COVID-19. While I'm committed to staying home for the sake of my loved ones and my community, and I'm grateful for all I am blessed with, this is a tough season. There are a few bright spots. Most of them involve fashion. Like when my Amazon Personal Shopper by Prime Wardrobe box shows up. Although funds are restricted, a new shirt or skirt feels like a necessary indulgence. I filmed this unboxing video before things got crazy, but rewatching it brings me joy. Scroll down to see what I kept and why! I decided to keep the Ella Moss jeans. Despite my hesitations on the length, I loved the fit, the flare, and that snakeskin tuxedo stripe! The fit was so spot on that I tracked down another pair of Ella Moss jeans on Poshmark. I have to say that I love them, too. Have you worn Ella Moss jeans or given Amazon Personal Shopper a try? Shoot me a DM on Instagram to tell me about your experience!

  • It Started With A Conversation Over Breakfast...

... A Sunday, to be exact. A Keurig brewed cup of coffee in front of me to replace my normal tall, vanilla, almond milk latte from Starbucks. I was days into a self-imposed quarantine while the world tried to contain the ominous COVID-19. Perhaps I was going a little stir crazy, or maybe it was too many days in a row of athleisure, but the thought came to me that I needed an outlet. I needed a reason to delve into my closet and get dressed again. Me: You know what, I’m going to sit down and finally re-launch my blog. I’ve got some extra time while I’m self-quarantined. Why not? Also Me: That’s a terrible idea. Who wants to read about fashion and style and outfits in the middle of a pandemic? People are going to find you very self-absorbed as if you have no consideration for humankind. Me: Eh, maybe you’re right. People are awfully focused on finding toilet paper and not getting sick. … It’s pretty depressing, isn’t it? Also Me: Yeah. That’s why this is a lousy time to be launching such a frivolous blog. Why bother? Me: Hmm. … But don’t you think we could all use a break from the endless streams of lousy news? And, someday, people are going to have to get back to their lives. Don’t you think they could use some shopping and style advice to pocket for later? Besides, fashion is therapeutic. Also Me: Therapeutic? Seriously? Me: Okay, well, it is for me. Also Me: That’s because you’re a shopaholic. Tuesday, there are a million fashion bloggers out there. You’ll get lost in the noise. Me: You might be right, but who cares? None of those people are me! I don’t have to reach millions of people. Just one would be enough. Also Me: One? One person is worth your time? Me: One person is worth my time. There’s nothing better than seeing someone’s face light up when you’ve helped them find the perfect item that will make them feel – and look – amazing. Makes my heart sing. It sparks joy. Also Me: Ha. Well. You at least sound passionate about it. Do you really think it will work? Do you really think even one person will care? Do you think this is the right time? Me: Nope, I don’t know if it will work or if anyone will care. I won’t know until I try. And if now isn’t the right time, when is? Also Me: Perhaps you have a point. Me: Perhaps I do. I think I better get to work. Also Me: I suppose you better. *** Welcome to the re-launch of From Tuesday, With Love: A shopping and style blog dishing everyday advice for everyday women to help them feel beautiful every day. My advice is the fruit of a decades-long shopping addiction and a formidable career in the retail industry. I’ve helped women of all ages, shapes, and sizes find everything from the perfect pair of earrings to the perfect dress for their biggest day. And now I’m sharing all the things I know with all of you. Enjoy.
